The small village of Tinchuley is located above the old cantonment area

of Takdah in Kurseong. Darjeeling distances 32 kilometres and Kalimpong

distances 43 kilometers from Tinchuley. The distance between Siliguri to

Tinchuley is about 70 km. The best route is Siliguri - Sevoke road - Kalijhora -

Tista bazar - Peshok tea garden - tinchuley. If you come from the

Darjelling side then it will be Darjeeling - Ghoom - peshok road - lamahatta

- Tinchuley. The road is almost good upto Peshok Tea garden though after Tista

bazar its beat narrow and steep. After Peshok tea garden there is a Y -junction

and left side upward road of the fork leading towards Tinchuley.

Airport : The nearest airport to is Bagdogra (IXB).

Rail : The closest Railway Station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP).

Entering Tinchuley :-

This place is the most romantic place I have ever been to. The mist clouds

covered the place to hide the lovers from the world. The oldest hotel in the

locality was full but the location of that hotel was strategic. After getting a hotel

at Tinchely I would park the car and walk along the roads into the clouds. The

owner of our hotel took us to the village walk and next two hours the walk

between the clouds is a heavenly experience.

Best time to visit Tinchuley :-

October to April is the best time to visit Tinchuley. This is the time

when the sky remains clear and you get great views of the mountains

all around. However November to February would be quite cold out

here.
