Introduction:- The mystical land complete with Tales of Shangri-La & Dragons with an abundance of wildlife with forest cover almost everywhere; abode of peace at the ‘Lakhang’ with age- old practices of Tibetan Buddhism; curvy and picturesque mountain roads dotted with ‘Chortens’ ( You have to cross them from the left; high mountain passes with white flags against the blue mountains and snow caps; the magnificent ‘Dzong’( Monastic Forts) for administration and justice; men and women dressed in ‘Gho’ and ‘Kira’ respectively… Yes!!! আপনারা ভারতের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে ঘোরেন বহু পরিচিত বৌদ্ধ মনাস্ট্রি দেখবার জন্য। কিন্তু আমাদের পাশের রাজ্য ওড়িশাতে একটি  সল্পপরিচিত কিন্তু অসাধারন সুন্দর মনাস্ট্রি আছে যার খোজ আমরা আনেকেই রাখি না। আজকের গল্প সেরকমই একটি মনাস্ট্রি নিয়ে  যার জনপ্রিয় নাম জিরাং মনাস্ট্রি। ২০১০ সালে তিব্বতি ধর্মগুরু দলাই লামার হাতে পশ্চিম এশিয়ার এই সর্ববৃহৎ মনাস্ট্রিটির উদ্বোধন হয়। ১৯৫৯ সালে চীনের  আগ্রাসনে  ব্যতিব্যাস্ত হয়ে প্রায় ৮৫০০০ তিব্বতি শরনার্থী নিয়ে ১৪তম ধর্মগুরু দলাই  লামা ভারতের শরনাপন্ন হন। তখন  বেহরামপুর  শহর থেকে ৮০ কিমি দূরে চন্দ্রগিরিতে ছয়টি ক্যাম্প করে তিব্বতীয় রিফিউজিদের থাকার বন্দোবস্ত করা হয়।  তিব্বতীয়রা স্থানটিকে Phuntsokling নামেও অভিহিত করে থাকেন। তিব্বতী ভাষায় যার অর্থ ' Land of Happiness and  Plenty ' । ২০০৮ সালে প্রায় ৮ কোটি টাকা ব্যায়ে এই মনাস্ট্রিটি তৈরি করা হয়। কিভাবে যাবেন :- ট্রেনে সব থেকে কাছের স্টেশন বেহেরামপুর। সেখান থেকে জিরাং প্রায় ১১০ কিমি। সময় লাগে ৪ ঘন্টা। গাড়ি ভাড়া ২০০০-২৫০০  টাকা। কি কি দেখবেন :- ব...

"ঝরনা, তোমার স্ফটিক জলের স্বচ্ছ ধারা-- তাহারি মাঝারে দেখে আপনারে সূর্য তারা।" যেকোনো ভ্রমনে ঝরনার দেখা না পেলে বোধহয় আমাদের মতো ভ্রমনপিপাসু মানুষদের কাছে ভ্রমনটা কোথায় যেনো একটু অসম্পুর্ণ থেকে যায়। আর যদি ঝরনাটা একটু অপরিচিত হয় তাহলে তো সোনায় সোহাগা। তাই বাড়ি থেকে ৫৫০ কিমি দূরে ঝাড়খন্ডের এক জংগলে ভারতের ২১তম সর্বোচ্চ জলপ্রপাতটার খবর পেয়েই মনটা বেশ একটু উড়ু উড়ু হয়ে পড়ল। আর ' পায়ের তলার সর্ষে একবার যদি সুড়সুড় করে ওঠে তো আমাকে রোখা শিবেরও অসাধ্য। তাই দেরি না করেই দুতিনদিনের ছুটি ম্যানেজ করে ' রইলো ঝোলা চললো ভোলা ' স্টাইলে গোছগাছ করে গাড়ি স্টার্ট দিয়ে বেড়িয়ে পরলাম লোধ ফলসে র উদ্দেশ্যে। অনাবশ্যক রাস্তার বর্ণনা দিয়ে পাঠকের মাথাব্যথা না বাড়িয়ে সোজা পৌছে গেলাম রাঁচি। সেখান থেকে লোহারডাগা হয়ে গুমলাগামী রাস্তা ধরে ৫০ - ৬০ কিমি এগুলেই শুরু হয় পাহাড়ি আঁকাবাঁকা জঙ্গলের রাস্তা। রাঁচি থেকে নেতারহাটের দূরত্ব প্রায় ১৫০ কিমি। তাই অপটু হাতে প্রকৃতিদেবীকে নিজের ক্যামেরায় বন্দী করার ব্যার্থ চেষ্টা করতে করতে যখন নেতারহাট পৌছলাম তখন ঘড়ির কাঁটা প্রায় ১১ ছু...
